Selectable by a switch that is on the outside or via castle link? I am looking for something that is easy to spot on the v2 so I know I have the right one.

Ver 2 should have a sticker on it saying V2.

Here's a pic I stole from another site showing a v2.

Ya I have seen that pic but I dont know if my lhs would like me cracking all of them open in the store to find out. they said over the phone that there wasnt a sticker or anything that said v2 or anything so I will assume it is the v1 as the sticker seems to be the only way to tell from the outside.

No sticker, then it's safe to say that you have a V1.

SEND IT BACK TO CC for a replacement.

I almost suffered a total lost but tested and failed at the bench when using 12S.

Nas,

The one that is on fire is V1.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

I took a look at my BEC pro and there were no stickers to indicate if it is a V1 or V2. So I took it apart so I could post a picture. It appears that there is a diode across the outputs. So based on another post, this would lead me to believe this is a V2. Any thoughts? I would like to use this but not until I am sure it is a V2. Thanks.

Mine came with a V2 sticker on the side and looks exactly like yours inside. To be on the safe side though, I would call Castle.

I would say it is a v2 because there is a diode across the output and also a bigger diode that is across the input (blue one). The pics of the v1 only have one diode on the input and it is only connected to the pos. side the v2 has one across the pos and neg. like the one in your pic. Here is a good pic reference a few posts down that was posted by barzaun on another site.
