Guys I have been offered a ma 1005 gasser with about 3 flights on it , including all radio gear for approximately 500 usd I also have a couple of pics I can post of it.. Is there still plenty of support for this model?

post some pics! lets have a look. you can still get parts,lots of parts from the x-cell line fit, probly would need to tear it down and rebuild. if the g230 is in her ,i would get a mew carb.

I think he mentioned it was a 22cc I have emailed him asking the exact engine model.. The history is 100% as it is from my clubs treasurer.. He bought it from GravesRC in the USA when he visited some 10 years ago.

Wow, super clean all original,what a great find, if you dont buy it ,i will ,and pay for shipping and all, go here http://www.rchelibase.com/xcell/index.html to look at plans and info if you need it,and go here for parts . http://www.ronlund.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvand . even though it is in new condition before you fly it ,i would tear it down and rebuild with new electronics, fresh loctighte, and such, really if do not want it i will buy her, Good luck. Its a very nice model
I've had mine for just over 13 years now and still fly it to this day. As of yesterday I'm 25 flights short of 2500!

I've upgraded some things on it over the years, so all the older parts have newer and better upgrades you can use on the model such as a better tail, a metal head, anti rotation guide, transmission 3rd bearing (0832) etc.

I flew it in the original condition like yours is now for at least a season before I started upgrading, to make sure I liked the model and such but I fell in love with gassers due to this model and it caused me to sell all my nitro and UPGRADE to gas!

Thanks for the feedback guys, I was not sure just how much support it would still have.. I read somewhere that a couple of things were not available but you could upgrade it to a SE or something?

Raja, really nice collection you have there and some very nice photos! I notice you have a radikal how does it perform?

1005 pilots UNITE!

Looks like a great ship you have, looks clean. Most 1005 parts are available, and if a part is unavailable, you can use another model's part to replace it. MA's parts are famously interchangeable. I repaired a crashed 1005 with the tail boom of an Xcell 60 nitro

they are definately nice reliable birds that are cheap to fly. Gotta love gas!!
