When you are done flying, it pushes to one side so the transmitter fits in the transmitter case. No need to remove it.

I have one of the manufactured ones. I got tired of having to take it off to put it in the case. My solution....grind down one side of it so it just folds over and out of the way. It works great that way.

I might not be able to fly well, but I can crash with the best of them.

Those are outstanding examples of enjoying all aspects of the hobby. I would have made my own as well but I was thinking of machining one......I have a bad habit of complicating things. Anyhow, I just picked one up like is shown below. Wasn't too bad on price...2 for 20.00
