Thought I'd share some photos of a MD500 build I completed for a friend. Special thanks to "Doorman" for the help. The kit and the guts come from RC Aerodyne, the motor from Scorpion, the controller is Castle and servos are Hitec. Hovers hands off, great kit.

Some of the "upgrades" include:

A front light and cover. The light cover was formed from a "buck" of wood and heated to form plastic over the form then trimmed. The light is powered by two pins (neg/pos) that mount the front.

A carbon plate to mount the plug-in for the five lights.

A "pitot" tube made from a Deans plug that functions as a power plug for the motor.

The tail section was moved back to a more "scale" location.

Lights routed through the skids.

Windows made for the entire body and tinted.

Enjoy.
