Protect and Serve. I thinks he may need a refresher course on that aspect of his job.

Gun control is like fighting drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to buy cars.

I've said it for years: there needs to be more "mental" screening of potential police officers. My town is a perfect example. I'd say a full third or more are unfit to serve. Across the river, that town has decent cops as does the Sheriffs department. Our town is a laughing stock where the police are concerned. I've dealt with all of them at some level and the difference between their people is eye opening.

Some small town cops are really 'wanna be cops' that have not been properly vetted or trained. They simply like carrying a gun and switching on the siren. One small town near me has a revolving cop policy. Hire cheap then fire when they get caught doing something stupid.
I have found the Florida sheriffs dept and FHP do have some of the best and seem to be very professional.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

actually we're one of the largest cities in Florida (land mass-wise).
We just have a tendency to hire idiots. A lot of young guys cutting their teeth. Way too aggressive and rarely does an actual crime get solved. They sure know how to hand out tickets and mess with people too.
We're a very safe town so the only thing they really have left to do is set up check points for seat belts, etc. Meter maids on 4 wheels is what they really are.
PS - I agree, the FHP guys are usually pretty decent.

I know this is serious and not the place for humor, but why do they call it "unarmed man', Did he really not have any arms ?

They should put bad cops in jail !
if they did the rest may smarten up a little

When this guy is found guilty I highly doubt he will see any jail time. even though he deserves 15-20

One scary guy. He has managed to avoid domestic abuse, assault and tampering with evidence charges in the past because of his badge; let's see if these latest charges stick. Union bailed him out. He is not considered a flight risk because he has kids.
