Hi all,

first: Sorry for my Bad English.

I've recently bought an old BIG LAMA from Hirobo.
Unfortunately, without manual and building instructions.

The model is probably always been in a shop window. It is less than 2 meters and i think it is a old 1/5.25 model. It has a Kawasaki 2 Stroke Engine (Petrol).
Have anyone still manuals to it, or know where I can find them?

Sadly, I do not have one, or the documentation for one.

I probably have the water-damaged box still out in the garage from the one owned by John Gorham.

These were beautiful machines, very detailed, and with serial numbers (very limited production). Made roughly in 1980, if memory serves.

Can you post a photograph?

Wow, you are a very lucky guy. Would love to have one of those.

You may try to contact hiroboman here on RR. He may be able to help. https://rc.runryder.com/t492780p1/

Documentation is almost non-existent for this heli. The 'manual' shows some assembly drawings but the details are lacking. The assembly instructions are so basic as to be laughable. Example:

"Assemble transmission."

"Assemble frames."

"Assemble rotorhead."

It's obvious Hirobo expected only the most experienced modelers to be able to put this complex machine together. I own one NIB and do have the "instructions". Maybe with enough pressure I'll dig them out and scan the pages.

Todd (hiroboman) does have lots of experience working with this Lama. He could be your best source of information.

Good luck.

So many heli's - too little time...
