I Fixed my Velocity 50 from a recent crash (new blades, boom etc..) and took it out to the field today. I did a half hour pre-flight and everything looked great... Started it and hovered it off the ground for 5 seconds and the tail started to wag a little bit so I landed it and as soon as it touched down, it started to tilt over and the power would not go to idle or cut off at my command. After my new blades and boom tore apart, I looked it over after I picked the parts off the ground to find that the Align 2 in 1 failed. WHY!!!!!!!

I have the 2 in 1 tucked mostly under the canopy. None of the LED's were lit up with a fully charged LiPo after the crash.

Please give me any comments, concerns, advice, or whatever so this does not happen again.

Is it worth getting another 2 in 1?

Sorry to hear about your crash landing.

Did you verify that the battery was still good after the crash?

Was the failure of the align 2 in 1 a result of damage after the crash?

Can you verify if the align 2 in 1 switch is functional? There have been failures of those switches.

Could just be a bad unit and the magic smoke leaked out.

The align 2 in 1 was working before I flew it. It had all lights illuminated and the glow function worked flawlessly. I am assuming it is the 2 in 1 because I got locked out AND it did not work after the crash. I messed around with the switch, tested the battery (that was fine), and checked the 2 in 1 wires for chafing. Nada.

Does Align back their products up at all? I specifically got a Velocity because I wanted nothing to do with Align products but I talked myself into getting a 2 in 1 for the ease of function.
