Ok guys I tried to do a search on a trex 600e 8s setup but did not have any luck. I would like to see some pictures of the electronics lay out on a 8s set up. I just got me a scorpion 890 and a ice 100 on the way. Also what size pinon should I be running? I have a 15 tooth now and was wondering if that was going to be enough.

Also I have read were a few have did away with there belcranks and switch to direct servo to swach. Any pictures of this mod?

I also heard were I should switch the frames out to the 550 frames. Is this worth the time? Also how much involved in making the switch.

Thanks any info on this will b a great help.

I always suggest that you build it stock first and see how you like it. That way you can just do the changes that you need. Mine flies so well stock with a Scorpion and 8s that I never made any other changes.

I have T550 also and the frame is not that strong. It also requires quite a few additional 550 frame parts. I don’t think that a T600 canopy will for a T550 frame but I could be wrong. It’s more practical to start with a 550 and install a long boom than to change the frame on a 600.

Ben i noticed i sent you a pm last year this same time, and you had the 8s setup on your 600. How has this setup been holding up for you. You should have had plenty of flights on it by now. Are you still using the bec on the ice? I was a little worried about using the bec, But it sure would be nice to get rid of the extra battery weight.

Also I plan on using 2 4cell 400mah nanotech battery's from HK. And one day FBL.

I am still flying the same helicopter and it’s holding up well. I did upgrade to flybarless using an RJX head that I tool of another helicopter. I installed a Western Robotics BEC to handle the extra load. I use Turnigy 8s 4000 packs this year. When they give out I will get some of the new nano-tech 4000 packs. I have them in my 550 and they are great.

In order to make it fly more like my T550 I am not testing some 560 blades and increased the headspeed to 2300. So far I like the way it flies but it needs a little more tuning.

Yes I love the ICE governor. It does a great job of managing power and gives more flight time than a throttle curve.
