Evo is a great heli. I have the SDX and I love it. I've had mine stock and the head was setup as per manual. Recently I changed the head setup and used the outer hole on the flybar carrier. This increased stability without sacrificing cyclic response.

Here in the NW the season has come to an end. My SDX is undergoing a face lift. I'm converting the SDX to Flybarless utilizing the stock head. The conversion is simple and the only thing I had to get was a swash driver. I'll be using the Skookum 720 stabilization unit.

you either need a swash driver (eg vario 68/25) or lock the washout unit to the mast
remove the fly bar and fit the control rods direct from the swash to the blade grips

if you go for the washout method it looks better if you cut off the unused end of the washout arm

if you are converting a sceadu i used the following
vario swash driver 68/25
jr 94005 l14 control balls (x2) for the blade grips
align g3 control rods hn7100t
quick uk/ rocket city rod ends

i used the align g3 rods as the 2mm std rods kept bending

I will create a new thread in the near future that provides all the part numbers.

It's surprisingly simple with the sdx. Feel free to pm me in the meantime.

Only thing different I did was use the left over stand offs from the 135degree swash setup. It's what Dominik did. I also bought a century swash driver. I didn't feel comfortable tap and die the plastic washout.

I did use Payne idea for rod and UK link.
