If you buy a set of hex wrenches you get 1.5, 2, 2.5, and a 3. Now you buy a heli. Start building. You get to the head. Its 12 midnight. You cant finish the head cause the spindle bolts take a m4.

WTF??? Right?? Does that not pi$$ you off??? Do I have the right to be pi$$ed or am I being a cry baby cause I cant finish the head till I take a trip to Wally world tomorrow????

Go to wal-mart (provided they are open 24/7) and pick up a set of their metric folding allen set. I think they're around $3-5. I keep a set like that in my tool box just for the 4mm hex's.

(You CAN build this helicopter tonight!)

Thats not the point. Yes I know that and I plan on doing that. My point is why do they need a m5??? How many helis use m5 bolts? One that I know of lol...

Pick up two sets so you can hold both bolts at the same time.

You'll really be frustrated if you make a special trip and find out you needed two.

Sounds like you didn't get a full set.

+1 to Dood for mentioning the latenight wallyworld trip.

This is the kit you need from start to finish.

Did you read your manual that probably shows you which tools you would need? If not then it is all your own fault. Besides I have yet to see a tool set made specifically for building helicopters. Stop whining and go flying, that is if you went and got the 4mm wrench.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Quit skimmping on measly 4 pc sets when you can get at least a 9pc set for mere dollars. Besides, the 6mm is convenient for turning the motor over.

Its all part of learning, just wait till you go fly your new heli and forget to charge something,or realize how important a pre flight check is and crash because you built the helicopter too fast and over looked something, ask me how I know.
If not having tools is frustrating you better just take the helicopter back to the store because you are in for alot more "frustration" with the steep learning curve ahead.

wait till you buy a set of $80 or $100 blades and only get 3 flights out of them cause you crash,, or wait till you rebuild your Heli and have those $80 Blades and only get 3 or 4 flighs and crash again,,

Welcome to the "sick" addiction of R/C Helicopters!

No matter how many tools you have and/or spare parts, there is always something out there to kick you in the *SS that you forgot, didn't bring or didn't think you would need when your in the LHS or online.

I wouldn't trade this hobby and all the aggravation for nothing.

(Dumb Thumbed a 700 in the dirt Sunday, I'm ready to go tomorrow)

And I'm mad it took me "That" long to get all the parts together....

It's a sick addiction buddy!

Dood, sorry about the blown out borders. I have a bad habit of oversizing a tad.

Hell, that happens to me on everything I work on. Not that I don't have the tool, I just can't find it ! And when I refer to my tool, I mean the stuff I keep in a box, not the one in my pants.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?
