okay my buddy has cancer he is about to start kemo and his parents want to get him a little heli..he has flown before, just hovered with trainin gear and he does always can use my sim. if he wants..i was thinkin on getting him the blade SR but then i remember him say he wanted something small for the room so i started thinking of the walkera 4g6 or the flybarless one...any ideas please anything will help!!

Sorry for your buddy. 4G6 maybe a bit twitchy and requires a lot of tuning. Maybe MSR?

he actually started chemo today his mom is givin me about 300 to get him a heli...well i was thinkin the msr but i know he will want a collective pitch eventually you know? and ya the walkera is too twitchy for him im thinkin also...i think he would love the sr but he might want something for inside, i have hovered the walkera 4g6 and it really wasnt bad at all, just i dont like the quality of walkeras i feel they are cheap..

Get him a BNF MSR and a Spectrum DX7 when he is up to it
he can use the TX for a different Helicopter

If CP, then maybe 4G6s - with 3 axis gyro. From what I heard they are more stable (I own 4g6, so cannot comment of flybarless).

Your friendship is the most important thing you can give him. He has a tough road ahead and likely will have bad days that you don't want to be around, but stick with him.
I fly small to large, but still enjoy the MSR for room fun. As mentioned above, with a DX7 he can move up to tricky ones later, but when he is feeling bad he may not want to fight a little twitchy tricky.

Blade SR 120 is much better than the smaller mSR and won't break as easily or damage stuff like the bigger SR would indoors. I'd suggest this:

I have a MsR and I fly it in Airplane mode as you only need the 4 channels. also dial in a bit of expo for him. Sorry to hear about him, just had a bud of mine go through chemo & radiation...nasty stuff...God Speed to him

ya his first day is today i have not heard any updates. thank you guys for his support and helpin me out...well too bad i read your posts late i just went ahead and got him the sr RTF...i think he will love it and if he wants we can always find him a cheap msr you know...i hope he likes it, i dont think he will mind goin to garage to hover a little bit. i can always take it back too so...ill keep yall posted
