Idea for adding tail weightHey guys,
I found some tungsten plates(used for pine wood derby cars) that have a countersunk hole drilled in the middle, they measure 1.5 x .5 x 1/16 in.
Tungsten weighs 1.3 times that of lead. I plan to use a dremel cutoff wheel to size them for length.
They should fit perfect on the inside of the carbon tail rotor plate #128-164. I will drill a small hole into the center of the carbon plate, then attach tungston plates, glue and secure with a screw, paint black. They will not be visible from the sides, and there's plenty of room for them between the belt and inside carbon plate.
The kit includes 3.0 onces worth, or 75 grams. There a bit spendy at $17.95. But my heli will balance perfectly
Should have them by Saturday, will show some pics of how it all works out.http://www.maximum-velocity.com/tungstenplates.htm
