I haven't tried a FBL yet but I think its just as what happened with car electronic control modules.
Would you go for a car without all that electronics today?

You probably dont have the choice to get one without all the electronics, with flybars or no flybars you have the choice. Far more people at our field fly faybared, some of those went flybarless and switched back.

I put the Align FBL on my 600 and the new OS engine and it has as much power as my 700 FB.

I love it except for the occasional tail kick

im pritty new to it i tryd fbl buy the use of two gy401s on a raptor and it worked but clearly wasent the ideal set up ive got an sk 360 now just going to get it set up and try that. ive had my eye on the new x50 it looks awesome and after watching colin bell fly it the way he did with a flybar im starting to wonder whats so wrong with the flybar? and then i see tereq alsadi lay a beating on the new outrage 90 aslo with a flybar and it definatly looks like you can smack a little harder with a flybared machine or at least it seems more predictable. i love the idea of fbl as its so much cleaner and simpler mechanicly and of course you gotta love the reduction in rotor drag so i will still try this fbl thing but i would have to say that electronics havent beat the flybar just yet.

It depends what, but yes - I frankly find a lot of the electronic crap they put on cars these days to be pointless and outright annoying . . . . can't speak for FBL, have not tried that yet . . .

My take, at least car wise, is that I have a functional brain, which is infinitely more capable of making correct decisions that some retarded little piece of electronics. Not to mention cost - what once was four $2 pin switches to control your interior lights is not a $500 module. Yeah, now they dim out slowly . . . big whoop, and hardly worth the extra $492 . . . .

I have both.

I find it easier to use my flybar helis over my FBL ones.

And I suppose I haven't as yet had the need to go beyond the capabilities of a FB heli.

Hi,

i don't fly helis anymore with flybar.

Flybarless is the perfect way to have really fun for me.

When i want to have the felling of flybar, so i to set up my HC3 X-treme Flybarlesssystem and the heli has than the properties of flybar.

But i love when my heli flys as on rails.

OU812 is the eighth album by American hard rock band Van Halen, released in 1988. The album title is allegedly a joke on Van Halen's previous lead singer David Lee Roth's 1986 album Eat 'Em and Smile. However, "OU812" was also seen in the 70s sitcom Taxi written on a wall. The first person to use the phrase was Redd Foxx. Furthermore, "OU812" is the license plate on the red Ferrari that Cheech and Chong drive in Cheech & Chong's Next Movie.

This is more interesting than the topic by a good stretch.

But if you pinch the sticks on a Futaba radio controlling FBL, will it fly that much better than thumbing the sticks on a JR radio controlling a FB model?

Ask your doctor if your heart is healthy enough for Radio Control Helicoptering.
