Hi There Guys
I have a Trex 500 ESP, 600 NSP; However I am a JR fan since..
All my Electronics are JR including transmitter and it is high time I get a High Quality JR Heli,
Currently I am in Doha, Qatar. The only online shop I found, so far, to get the heli is RCSLOT.
I went through and have two options:
1. One Kit and Spare parts ( 577$ + 400 $)
2. Two Kits ( one to assemble and one as a spare) ( 577 $ + 577$)
I think option 2 is more practical despite the difference of approx 177$. any advice?
Here its not easy to get parts and I have to wait for delivery from the states.
Also i would appreciate if anyone could advise me pertaining to electronics. Already I have 4 DS8915s ( 3 + 1 spare for cyclic), Gyro 770t + DS8900.
I need to buy Governor, Voltage regulator, and a plug igniter. Align setup seems fine... but i just don't feel OK having align items on a JR .. its aint proper
For Governor, I was thinking an Aerospire Multi Gov Pro
For Voltage regulator i have two options in mind:
A. The Gryphon Extreme heli Voltage regulator with Remote Glow Ignitor / Low voltage display and External Buzzer.
B. JR Voltage regulator and PG- A push glow button.
Any Advise is highly appreciated concerning what to order / use ?
Another question: anyone who already got the Vibe 50 NEX can confirm if the Socket head screws are Metric ( mm ) or Standard English Units ( inch) ... I am thinking of getting the Rcscrewz Stainless steel set for the Air-skipper 50 3D .. i think it should be compatible ...
Thanks and hope to have some feedback soon ...

That looks very nice. Got sick of waiting so have ordered a Compass HV FBL head to give it a try. Borrowed the head off a mate and it all sets up very well on my Vibe50E with Beastx. Didn't fly it but should have my own delivered in the next week.

Regards,

Callum.

Hello There,

I am happy to announce that I am the proud owner of A JR VIBE 50 NEX. I have some questions for owners who have built and flew the Vibe 50 NEX excessively:

1- In the Assembly Instructions Manuals P.18 it is stated to cut the Silicone Small Tube to 82mm, when I did so and fitted the Clunk / Tube / Grommet ( tank assembled ) then once I held the tank in a Vertical position ( As if the Heli is in a 90 Degree Position) the clunk was like a couple of centimeters from the bottom.
Is that OK ? Normal ?

2- In relation to point (1) I am considering installing a Header tank ( Quick UK 60CC).
Any Advice ? Is it required ? I feel more secure having it especially after noticing point ( 1)....

3- In the Assembly manual P.14 They Refer to JR Thread Lock Red ( Soft ) and Green ( Hard ) . There is no Loctite number to Refer to ??? Specs ??
I use Zap Loctite (Thread Lock).
Red PT-71( High strength ) and Blue PT-42 ( Medium strength ) .
Is the Zap Red Equivalent to JR's referred to as "Green- Hard " and the Zap Blue equivalent to JR's referred to as "Red - Soft " ????
What did you guys" who already assembled" use ??? The kit Came with No Loctite (Thread Lock) ...

4- In Relation to Point (3) , I used Zap ( Blue ) loctite to assemble the Clutch Bell to the Pinion Gear ( Assembly Manual P. 16) .
Is that enough ??? I feel using Zap "Red" will be too much .... especially if i need to replace the clutch bell later on .. it will require a miracle to disassemble.....

I hope to Get feedback ASAP , since i'm anxious to finish assembly and test fly the New Vibe 50 NEX ...

Regards,

Helios007 ( Peter )

You may use a header tank or a dubro clunk. Dubro clunk won't be as efficient than a header tank.

About thredlock, JR red is similar to Loctite blue (242, 243). Green is like Loctite Green wich is usually used to put bearings in bearing holders or to saefely hold small pinion on e motors (T-250 by example). Your hard loctite should be OK. You will need to heat to dissasembmle the pinion, that's all, wich is the normal procedure.

One thing you want to do is use longer screws to hold the clutch shoe to the hub,the shorter ones are real easy to strip out the hub......
