First off let's start with basics . Bricks didn't come from rocks they came from mud and grasses or straw. A single person could make quite a few a day.
I see, so the entire city was made of mud, grasses and straw. How long do you reckon it would take you to build one house from mud, grass and straw?
Cain was sent out from the group after he killed Cain.
I take it you mean after Cain killed Abel.
He started his own city ( a place to live as a group) .
How many people do you think were in Cain's group?
What is difficult to believe? Call out he is very up to date on history you know.
Keep reading you may get it someday
I don't ask outhouse because he knows full well that the book of Genesis is based on old Sumerian stories.

and no mention of hunter gatherers, living in caves, etc. . all intermediate stages before we even got to the first city.
I know. I don't think Thomas believes the stone age ever happened.

Thomas, do you believe any of this at all?

hey Thomas you retard, the beaver pics were a response to Gearhead's statement that we're chewing.

we're not doing any chewing - you are, and the trees about to land on you all.

you are such silly circus animals, next thing we'll see is you denying that the Ice Age ever happened too.

how about even more denials, eh?

I would believe that Cain and people would have used stone and bone tools to build a "city" for his family. I won't believe that a half- man/monkey made tools of bone in his cave.

Did you ever ask your mom who taught you about fire?

why city in inverted speech marks? If it said city in the Bible surely they meant city, so why are you so unsure now?

and why would an entire family need to occupy a city? I mean could you imagine, say, New York City devoid of all its inhabitants except for maybe 5 people to live in it? do you honestly think that 5 people could maintain it, run it etc. . ?
Did you ever ask your mom who taught you about fire?
strange that you should ask, but no.

most modern humans would learn it by circumstance. how Cain managed to think up of building a city from not having even heard of the concept is beyond me. even more beyond me is how so few people can do such a vast structure and "live" in it as if it were occupied by hundreds and thousands of people.

You should talk to others here as they believe this to be an evolved rait.

What have you been smoking? Read the definition again. Where has any city in the history of the world started so as to support millions of people? Really?

^^ I NEVER said it was suppose to support millions.

we were questioning how Cain (the third or fourth etc. . human to exist on this earth according to the Bible) managed to even build such a large structure with apparently very little resources in terms of manpower and foundational knowledge. you know, as if someone just made it up and wrote it down.

Idiot.

All it takes is one service station and a post office.

You have a city.

Whats the matter with you?

Yes, but how many people do you think were in Cain's family, who would have lived in his city?

Would you say this is a half man/monkey?

No, but on the topic of teaching stuff to subsequent generations, just a few generations after Cain, one of his descendants was making tools from bronze and iron, while another of his descendants was making string instruments and pipes.
Genesis 4
17 Cain made love to his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech.

19 Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah. 20 Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock. 21 His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play stringed instruments and pipes. 22 Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of[g] bronze and iron.
Who do you think taught them how to make tools from iron and bronze, and string instruments and pipes?

I guess the stone age couldn't have lasted for long.

Here's another contradiction I've just noticed.
Genesis 4
12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”
Had Cain been a ''restless wanderer on earth,'' he couldn't have built a city, because building a city would require him to live nearby, while he was building it. So your God must have been wrong about Cain being a ''restless wanderer on earth.''

Of course not, a city would start off as a few houses, gradually expand into a village, then a town, then eventually a city. But the Bible doesn't say Cain was building a few houses, a village, or even a town, it says he was building a city.
