I didnt take his word for it, i studied what i could myself. his basic history matches real history pretty close

I agree agree 9/11 was not a conspiracy and I dont agree with his views there at all. history however even by christian standards is not up for debate. he hits you with a hour of truth so youll buy into the garbage

as far as religion imagine this, christians took there religion and made what they wanted from the jews, the old testament is jewish is it not? and imagine why much of the ten comandments are stolen almost straight from egypt text as well as the basis for the whole christian religion. when the jews left egypt they stole more then there freedom they took much of the old religion with them.

Biblical scholar L. Michael White, not himself a Jesus-myth theorist, writes that, so far as is known, Jesus did not write anything, nor did anyone who had personal knowledge of him. There is no archeological evidence of his existence. There are no contemporaneous accounts of his life or death: no eyewitness accounts, or any other kind of first-hand record

Three pillars of the theory
New Testament scholar Robert Price, who argues it is quite likely there never was a historical Jesus, writes that the traditional Jesus myth theory is based on three pillars:

There is no mention of a miracle-working Jesus in secular sources.

The Pauline epistles, earlier than the gospels, do not provide evidence of a recent historical Jesus.

The story of Jesus shows strong parallels to Middle Eastern religions about dying and rising gods, symbolizing the rebirth of the individual as a rite of passage. He writes that Christian apologists have tried to minimize these parallels.

Historical research can reveal a core of historical facts about Jesus, but he is very different from the Jesus of the New Testament

great reply spaceman

from the historian Josephus, the one and only historian of many who indirectly/directly talk of jesus or makes any mention of him. All under debate due to possible translation errors and lies by copyist.

what is failed to be mentioned at all, is why not 1 other historian list such an important icon of the times. surely more then 1 historian would have recorded many of the claimed miracles or speeches or trial or death or life of jesus

as well Josephus did not live at the time of jesus, all accounts are second hand

the famous Testimonium Flavianum found in the Antiquities of the Jews , in its current form summarises the ministry and death of Jesus; but the authenticity of this passage remains contested by many scholars, and has been the topic of ongoing debate since the 17th century. The most widely held current scholarly opinion is that the Testimonium Flavianum is partially authentic; but that those words and phrases that correspond with standard Christian formulae are additions from a Christian copyist.

The fossil record provides snapshots of the past that, when assembled, illustrate a panorama of evolutionary change ...
A similar statement could be made about my hobby room.

Me too, as do millions of other sane people worldwide. Seems the only ones who don't like seeing their delusions laughed about are the existentially-blind.

I would have to dis agree on that one.

I don't think we are even close to the same culture as we were in the early 60's, and before that time. Not even close.

God
Psalm 97
The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.

His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled.

The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.

Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD.

For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods.

Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.

Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

How many people will actually end up in Heaven?
Considering all the people who have lived on earth; How many will actually go to Heaven?
Of course no one knows, but I think it's an interesting question.
Would you say the answer is closer to 1%, 50%, or 99%.

2.2 billion christians but only %5 go to church on a regular basis.

of that %5 I would love to put a guess on how many of them will get into heaven but the bible contradicts itself so much on who will get in there is no clear answer.

according to my best guess christians are so self righteous if all %5 made it, that would put your %1 of the worlds population close. I got 1.6% but add that christians are getting into jewish heaven so add the worthy jewish population to 1.6% add gods wrath, dived by child molesters and christian terrorist and it all comes down to WHAT YOU WANT TO BELIEVE.

We know evolution is real, the picture is crystal clear and there is a large christian population that believes in evolution but keeps there faith. Since the bible is wrong in so many different areas and the definition of who gets into heaven is gray! ill have to say None!! because it doesnt exist. hell surely doesnt.

heaven and hell is something you live, when you close your eyes that one last time youll know

You right...but the human condition remains the same, rich, poor, elite, downtrodden...Persecutors and the persecuted....All the same stuff, different day....
As part of a pack, I'm not sure anyone can ever be truly free....But I still keep trying....

Birds and mammals ate our ancestors
Early humans may have evolved as prey animals rather than predators, research finds.

Early humans may have evolved as prey animals rather than as predators, suggest the remains of our prehistoric primate ancestors that were devoured by hungry birds and carnivorous mammals.

The discovery of multiple de-fleshed, chomped and gnawed bones from the extinct primates, which lived 16 to 20 million years ago on Rusinga Island, Kenya, was announced today at the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology's 70th Anniversary Meeting in Pittsburgh.

At least one of the devoured primates, an early ape called Proconsul, is thought to have been an ancestor to both modern humans and chimpanzees. It, and other primates on the island, were also apparently good eats for numerous predators.

"I have observed multiple tooth pits and probable beak marks on these fossil primates, which are direct evidence for creodonts and raptors consuming these primates," researcher Kirsten Jenkins told Discovery News.

Creodonts were ancient carnivorous mammals that filled a niche similar to that of modern carnivores, but are unrelated to today's meat eaters, she explained. The Rusinga Island creodonts that fed on our primate ancestors were likely wolf-sized.

"There is one site on Rusinga Island with multiple Proconsul individuals all together and these are covered in tooth pits," added Jenkins, a University of Minnesota anthropologist. "This kind of site was likely a creodont den or location where prey could be easily acquired."

Analysis of tooth pits, de-fleshing marks, bone breakage patterns, gnawing and other damage to the primate bones indicate that raptors were also hunting down these distant relatives of humans.

."Primatologists have observed large raptors taking monkeys from trees," Jenkins said. "When a raptor approaches a group of monkeys, those monkeys will make alarm calls to warn their group and attempt to retreat to lower branches. The primates on Rusinga had monkey-like postcrania and likely had very similar locomotor behavior."

The study presents the first evidence of raptor predation on fossil primates from Rusinga, which was part of the side of a large volcano 20 million years ago.

Multiple ash layers suggest that eruptions killed countless animals from time to time. But when the volcano was inactive, the site supported a wooded area.

Jenkins is not certain what selective pressures predators placed on these very early primate ancestors to humans, but she said they "can affect behavior, group structure, body size and ontogeny (the life cycle of a single organism)."

Robert Sussman, professor of physical anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis, has long argued that primates, including early humans, evolved not as hunters but as prey of many predators, including wild dogs and cats, hyenas, eagles and crocodiles.

"Despite popular theories posed in research papers and popular literature, early man was not an aggressive killer," said Sussman, author of the book "Man the Hunted: Primates, Predators and Human Evolution." "Our intelligence, cooperation and many other features we have as modern humans developed from our attempts to out-smart the predator."

He added that the idea of man as hunter "developed from a basic Judeo-Christian ideology of man being inherently evil, aggressive and a natural killer."

"In fact, when you really examine the fossil and living non-human primate evidence, that is just not the case," he explained.

Jenkins and her colleagues continue to excavate at Rusinga and nearby Mfangano islands, hoping to find more fossils — especially those from birds — so that the scientists can identify the species that were hunting the prehistoric primates
