science needs to be seen to be believed, while matters of faith need to be believed to be seen.
Brilliant.

Hey Fella's, what if the universe is expanding from a single point of pure energy and purity and we are all just little segments of the original "oneness" trying to get back to the unity of the oneness and the Great big hug of the universe A little Gay--- no

yep gay lol

i dont know anything about the big bang other then it happened and matter and space were created at once.

it didnt come from nothing, it could have been a huge blackhole that exploded.

Asking to see and know about 14.6 billion years in the past with certainty is one thing.

why use your imagination or someone elses to fill in the gaps in which we have no answer for?

A molecule of cow dung is more likely to have a 'fertile' lifespan than a star.

It's estimated that roughly 110,000,000,000 (110 billion) modern humans have lived on this planet over the 190,000 years we've existed here -- and . . .

There are at least 150 billion stars in our Milky Way Galaxy, and there are at least 200 billion galaxies in the known Universe. If 200 billion is the average number of stars per galaxy, which it likely is, it would mean there are at least 30,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (30 billion trillion) stars in the Universe -- a 270,000,000,000 (270 billion) to one stars-to-humans ratio.

There are in fact more stars in this Universe than there are grains of sand in all the beaches and all the deserts on Earth -- combined.

heres a link on einstein and religion.

As posted hes no bible thumper.

I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it. (Albert Einstein, 1954)

I think he went a bit nuts toward the end, apparently he spent his last dieing days writing on anything he could get his hands on, desperately trying to prove his own theories incorrect because they did not agree with his strong faith in religion.

I think he even resorted to writing on his own bedsheets when they refused to give him anymore paper

Thats according to one documentary I watched about him anyway.

Got a link to a title? I've studied the man and seen nearly every documentary produced about him, but I've never read or seen anything like that.

Im haveing a search around now, not sure if I can find anything though.

I think that was the whole premise of the documentary, so perhaps it was biases to self promote itself.

Ive found a a lot of religious propoganda that uses his quotes to suggest he is not an athiest, this is obviously religious propoganda in this vid, but I thought the quotes were interesting if they are indeed his own words, which I suspect they likely are.

Warning: Its quite disturbing haveing to listen to religious proganda, I had to stop watching it after a minute or so, but the Einstein qoutes are interesting.

Watch at YouTube

“I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings.”
"in view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views. "
But then theres also this quote on being portrayed as a religious person by the press of the time.
It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it.

I just learned Einstein`s last words went with him to his grave because the nurse he spoke them to did not understand German.

The guy speaking in that vid sounds like Richard Dawkins, Ide put money on it thats Richard Dawkins.

Just watched it til the end, yeah its him.

Im inclined to agree with you, the documentary I watched sometime back seemed legitimate at the time and I just beleived it I guess

I think it may have had something to do with his Nurse from memory, I think maybe it was a documentary about the nurse who looked after him until he died, I think she may have written a book about him, and her book was stateing he was actually deeply religious, now I learn she did not even understand his last words due to not speaking german, maybe not the most credible source of info.

einsteins religion was really pointless to bring up here.

my whole point was there is allot of work in biomechanics and science and creationist are not doing anything usefull but getting in the way.

thats when doug thought it would be cute to throw einstein at us as an example

boy he sure showed us lol

I only realized you had said
he was no bible thumper
after I had posted, at the time I posted due to the small bit of info I had taken in, I actually thought it was common knowledge that he was deeply religious, for some reason Ive never given it any further thought and just assumed he was religious, obviously I was wrong, for some reason I had taken what I had seen in that documentary as historical fact and never really bothered to question it.

What realy got me thinking something was not adding up is because Ive always thought he was a Christian, but then it occured to me that Ive always also known he was Jewish(or jewish parents), all of a sudden it does not make sense.

I dont realy understand Jewish, can you be Jewish and not religious? I think its both a religion and a race? I dont understand, if you come from Isreal but your an athiest are you still Jewish?

Ive always been confuzed as to whether Jewish is like a different race like Japanese, Asian or what ever the hell white people are?, or if its more like a religion like Christianity, muslim or hindu.

judaism is the religious part lol. and is a large part of christianity. jesus was a jew, and jews created the god christians follow.

yep

thats kind of how jesus movement started to branch away from judaism.

he relized he had a small base with jews living in that region

he taught a form of hellenistic judaism and then added some pagan beliefs to make his movement more popular to the masses besides jews.

his movement would save all souls who beleived without being tied to the judaistic dogma. he opened up the jewish god to all

back then there were just jews and pagans in that area.

God will never have time to show himself,i have been pondering that if it took him a whole seven days,to create this planet 7,000 years ago, then if all the planets and galaxies are like grains of sand,he is going to be too busy to go on a "Seeing is Believing" tour any time soonTeam- unbiased opinion.K.I.S.S principle upheld here
