Ok - so since I'm still new to the RR forums, I'll just say that I have a few pictures put up in my personal gallery if any of you are interested in seeing them. Nothing too special since it was so hot and I was trying to 1) not sweat to death and make people think I'm disgusting, and 2) trying to remember where the hell I parked.

A BIG thanks, first off, to Bobby Watts for taking the time to chat with me and my hubby while he was prepping for the night fly! We chatted a bit about music and things, and he could easily be the kind of guy you'd invite over to jam, drink some beer, fly some helis (I watch, of course) and have a bon fire. (Heck, that might be my next big plan for my house! I have a huge sod field behind me, a large area for a bon fire, and a nice refrigerator in the garage to keep all the beers ice cold!)

Second off, meeting some of the pros are just the highlights of people's day there at IRCHA. I wasn't even there for 10 minutes and I already chatted with Jamie Robertson, and my husband and him talked about his new heli, and how he liked flying the flybarless kit. SUCH a great kid! I wish him SO much luck this year in not only flying, but his football team, too!

I got to meet Nick Maxwell, too. What a sweet, down to earth guy! I wish I could have seen him fly a lot longer yesterday

My hubby and I had an added perk - going to watch Class I F3C Champ, James Haley from the Dayton area. He's a great guy, a GREAT pilot, and he will be missed when he takes his new job this week with Horizon Hobby in Illinois. Best of luck, James! Keep in touch with us!

What else is there to say about Rick the Sensei Guru?? Everyone there LOVES a headbanging spotter!

There was so much to see, and a mile to take it all in. I tried my best to get a pic of the entire line... for a first timer, it was mind blowing!

The end of the show's night-fly and fireworks were just amazing! My only complaint though about the entire time I tried to watch a flight -- the dang golf carts. I couldn't see around them, there was ALWAYS one going in reverse, and some drivers shouldn't have been driving. I guess I'm going to have to get up to show center at 8am to reserve a spot to beat all the golf carts!

So, this sunburn on my nose and shoulders was NOTHING compared to the fun we had I'm definitely a fan, and going back year after year! (And as long as those Bison Burgers are there, I'm always buying those, too!)

Never been to a ircha before. Been to hobbyshows. Airshows are hard to beat. Oshkosh airshow biggest one in the us and the best. Seeing the blue angels was AWSOME. Been to 5 airshows in total, almost in a row. I know I got a lil off topic.

Once a year the "Moon and Stars" line up in perfect order!
It's called IRCHA
No words can describe it, No video can give the true feel of it!
For those who don't understand, you have never been there!

Skip Disney World!
"Fantasy land" is only at IRCHA for the lucky few

Your sunburn is a trophy that you were dedicated enough to accept the heat to see the "Best of the very Best" put the SMACK on the helicopters...

You can consider yourself a addict now.

Come on down to Orlando in December for the second largest funfly in the U.S. called "The Orlando Blowout"...
(This event will be one for the record books this year)

On the AMA NATS, the classifications are AMA Class I, II & III.
The F3C designation is for FAI and the top level of flying. F3C winner was Curtis Youngblood, followed by Nick Maxwell (watch him at next years WC's in Italy) and Kunii from Japan was third.
Members of the US Team for next year's WC is:
Curtis
Nick
Wayne Mann

Congrats to all that flew in the NATS.

Team Synergy/Rail, Team Scorpion, YS Engines, VelTye

I apologize if I offended anyone with that. Since I'm new to the lingo and the sport, I thought it was all classified under F3C.

Again... my apologies!

if you have never been to IRCHA, you have no idea what it is like. Pictures and videos just don't do the amazing event any justice

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

And, if my memory is still good.... YOU were the one to start all of this "Groupie" stuff by getting Jamie involved and selling him a heli... so...

I'd say... you're to blame.
