I have a Trex 500 with 3G newly installed. I plugged in a new specktrum 7 channel rec. The light flashes and then it goes solid when I do the bind procedure with my JR9505 radio.
But no servo movement at all.
So I went and bought a new satellite rec and plugged it in and tried to bind. No lights or anything now. Just a flash when I plug in the power.
I tried a different 9 channel JR rec and got the same results.

Any ideas as to what Im doing wrong? I suspect it has something to do with the 3G but I had the 3G working in another heli I just moved it to to this one. ALso the 3G powers up and does what it should I just get now servo command from the controller.

You ARE plugging the binding plug into the correct socket on the receiver, aren't you?

Only one socket will work for binding...the battery port.

3G isn't the problem, bound my 550e AR7000 no problem.

Bind plug into battery port on RX.

Plug battery (or other power source -- ESC/BEC) into ANY remaining slot.

Turn on RX power. The lights will blink.

Hold the bind button on the rear of the TX DOWN while turning on the Transmitter, hold the button down till both lights -- main RX AND Satellite stop blinking and go on solid.

Turn off receiver. REMOVE BIND PLUG.

Turn off Transmitter.

The AR7000 MUST be bound with a satellite RX attached. I would think the same is true for that 9-channel RX.

When binding, set your THROTTLE to the position you want the throttle to go to should the RX ever go into fail safe mode. This is typically "low" throttle setting.

If you are using a GY401 gyro, make sure that the transmitter is set up to put the GY401 into HH mode before you bind. As the 401 needs to be in HH mode at power up, this step will make sure that the RX puts the gyro into HH mode at power up, while continuing to link up with the TX.

IT WORKED
It worked guys. THANKS for the help. I was completely spaced on the bind plug port. Haven't done it in awhile and use to using the AR 6 channels.

You're welcome. It's usually the little things you only do once in a while that confound you in this hobby.
