Hello,

It's now possible to stretche your Hirobo SDX.

The only thing is todo is to change the tailboom and some little
parts.

I will add some pictures tomorrow from my SDX stredge.

Regards,

Henk

I've run 630 SWE blades on my stock SDX. What blades are you planning to use?

Hello,

I fly my SDX stretched with 700 blades.

Also my SDX is flybarless and has a YS56 engine.

700mm is a huge blade for a YS56 to haul around. Mine was bogging too much with the 630's. Did you regear? I imagine with the right gears the SDX would make a nice slow 3D heli at say 1600 HS.

That is interesting. Do you use the D3 tail belt?

To stretch the SDX you can use the Freya, D3 or the JR 90's with belt driven tail and use a predator boom or any 21mm diameter boom and extend the push rods and boom support.

Hello,

I made some pictures with my cell phone:

Some photo's aren't very well and turn around.

But all the parts are Hirobo parts, only the tail is made from
carbon, so it's very light.

I to would like to know, why stretch the boom? If you put 700 blades on it, it would seem counterproductive to the light weight machine with alot of power that most 3D pilots are in search of.

Hi,

Would the 56 really be able to handle 1840 to 1920HS?

What about the plastic head? Would it be able to handle the huge disc? Spindle will be OK since the SDX and D3 uses the same spindle.

Have you replaced the bolts on the grips?

What type of servo are you running? Regulated?

Are you running a limiter / governor as well?

What gear ratio have you configured?

How much collective will you be running?

What about the clutch and bell? Clutch might slip or even break the shoe.

Please upload a clip with some 3D on YouTube when you get this going.

Have you also checked the CG after the stretch? It will definitely move way to the back.
