my buddie is flying the turnigy blades from hobbyking. he seems to like them but I have never flown them...I think it is like 20 bucks a set.

Honestly, support those shops that go to your fun flies, if true. I tend to frequent those shops because of 1 I get to personally see them at each event and 2 they give me great discounts for being a loyal customer. Those other places may be cheap but where will they be when you need help?

Try HobbyKing Z-weaves, they are great for the money, very stiff, and very closely matched in weight.
