Are you sitting at your computer? Grab a piece of paper off your printer and start cutting strips about 3/16"-1/4" wide. Now when you put your two gears together, make sure you put one of these strips between the pinion and main gear. When your done, just spin the gears to remove and that should be it. ( It may take a couple tris to get the feel of it but when your done, hold one or the other still and you should just see a tiny bit of wiggle in between them when you try to move the other. And don't ever try to re-use the strips. Once used they're trash.

Hope this helps
