With the help of the Phoenix sim, I managed to do my first inverted flight and held it. Third time something weird happened and it wouldn't recover no matter how hard I pulled back on the stick. It sucks, but it happens when you push the envelope. It will just make me better and I will learn from it as soon as I figure out what went wrong.

Sounds like you forgot to go into Stunt/Idle Up mode.

No, I was definitely in idle up. It happened during the attempt of recovery. I was able to recover before, just didn't want to respond the last time.

Usually if I'm flying alone....it's pilot error.

When there are spectators, I'd blame mechanical failure

Good luck with your progress.

I now fly with a 15 dollar keychain camera attached to the bill of my cap. It's a great flight recorder. No matter where I'm looking it follows my head. Identifies post accident things like why my heli crashed. Search keychain camera on eBay. It's worth the money to film yourself to see improvement and what you're doing wrong on new moves.

High Voltage just works better

Things happen quick on the sticks. When the blades get vertical and you find yourself in an unfamiliar orientation....the heli stalls and comes down. There's not much time to think....

I have a keychain camera, just don't use it for that. Maybe I should.

The sim is very underrated and is probably one of the best investments you can make in the hobby.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

What a great idea.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?
