Ok I have about 1 1/2 gallon on this heli really love how it flys.
3D nice and smooth but sometime in a hover it really not as smooth it flys like its in a bubble.I really don't hover much and I don't see it in 3D flight my servo are 8717 I guess the 140 CCPM will fix this, but wanted to get some input first.

doublecheck link/ball tightness. that's a contributor to what you're feeling and the V50 links are VERY tight out of the box

dont resize the links but (I know some will disagree w/ me) you might want to squeeze them a small amount to help loosen them a little

mine doesn't center well at a hover w/8717 on 8.4v
that's with new or old ball links and 140. i think its just the combined play in the servos and all the mechanics. i dont do much hover work so it doesn't bother me too much.

My 8717 is also on 8V, really not an issue.I really dont hover much but its just funny how will it flys and how much work it takes to get to hover.

Steven my son is a Factory pilot, his machines are all set full advanced with SWE 630 mains and SWE paddles and it is stable enough that I can fly around doing circuits, flips, and aileron rolls without it doing anything crazy, even with zero expo, and I'm certainly no 3D wizard, maybe 1D

I found my swashplate has to much play,
Did you remove the bolts that secure the bearing into the swash and loctite them? I pulled all the bolts, put a small amount of loctite on them and re-installed everything, had a few gallons thru it prior to IRCHA and ran a few more thru it there and didn't notice any slop, I had someone come up to the Outrage pilot tent with one and I checked ours to verify.

out put shaft just won't bend on it's own unless you have some major unbalance in the tail blades. It could have gotten dinged in transport etc...

re: swash. Email greg at HD and they will fix you up with a new one. I had one that had play and I fixed it myself. Mine was a rare issue where the bearing was actually loose from the body of the swash. The black part of the swash was a touch "taller" on the bottom compared to the bearing, and the 3 screws and washers that are supposed to hold the bearing in place weren't touching the bearing. You could see the bearing move when yanking on the swash. I ganked Clydes dremel at IRCHA and milled some of the swash down so the washers would seat on the bearing and hold it down. I also wicked some green locktite in between the bearing and swash at the same time.

IF that's the issue it's a very easy fix. Otherwise, email greg and he will take care of you!
