I bypassed the pump and the engine runs fine. I removed the pump and noticed the crank case nipple is just like the new carb upgrade crank case OS is offering. Can I use the exsiting crank case nipple for tank pressure instead of muffler pressure?

Was thinking the same....
So I have an .91 SX PS and was wondering the same thing about the plate. I was thinking of getting the HZ-R Conversion to use the carb and check valve.

The backplate nipple is just that, nothing fancy. If it worked with the OS pump it will work just fine with any regulated system. You can buy the HZ-R conversion kit and if you already have a backplate with a nipple there is no need to use the one that comes with the kit. That being said, make sure the carb will fit an engine other than an HZ.

Yes, just to confirm for you, the nipple in the backplate is just that. Now it's available to pressurize your tank or whatever or you can plug it. Actually, if you don't use it, remember to plug it and if you ever have any erratic needle check that plug first.

Cline makes a regulator that fits right onto the carb and it comes with a small check valve that actually fits inside of the pressure line. This is a wonderful mod. So good in fact that OS decided to make one of their own. I think that Cline would be much cheaper as you already have the backplate and the carb is just fine. You'll need to add a third line for venting out the pressure when you are done flying and for filling. Nitro is great stuff but not in your eye and when the tank is pressureized it can shoot a stream of fuel a good 5 feet. Here is the link: http://www.billsroom.com/pcfs/produ...uelsysdescx.htm

It is listed for 60.00.

Taking of is optional, but, landings are manditory.

I have done the "R" hi pressure regulator upgrade to my pumped 91 hz ps, and never change the nipple on my back plate. Works fine to me. That regulator is the best thing going in my book.
