Same price I presume $1100 + USD depending on the Euro/USD conversion at that time when yours is ready etc...

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

If you are cost conservative, then go for the Trex700E or the CY electric ENV FBL. We had all three machines at my club and guess what they weight pretty much the same RTF with 5000mah packs, approx. 9.6 bls. The TDR seems to fly and looks fastest in the air.

I had a TDR and will buy me the ENV soon.

I think I paid around 1300ish with shipping and wire transfer fees to get mine to the states.

Although I am sure you know that is only the start to what this heli is going to cost you to get it into the air. Blades, ESC, Motor, VBAR(or alike), batteries, etc.....

Plan on dropping around 3-4k at least. Honestly haven't added up the cost to everything or I would probably cry.

Whiskey,

The cost of the TDR kit is around $500 higher than any other electric 90 out there. Electronic equipment is the major startup cost and should be relatively the same depending on your choices. Here is what my TDR ready to fly costs:

Kit - $1300
Motor - Kontronik piro $400
ESC - Jive 80HV $475
VBar 4.0 -$480
Spectrum cyclic servos (3) $250
Fut tail BLS251 - $150
Main Blade - $125
Tail blade - $30
5000mah 6s (2) $360
Receiver or Satelite(2) $100

Total is $3670

You can save around $400 on electronic if you go with CC ESC and Scorpion motor, but then you have to add BEC and/or receiver battery. CC ESC and Scorpion motor run hotter then Kontronik's and therefore not as efficient.

Its actually cheaper than what the aurora or kasama used to be! (about the same price now in australia $1500AU)

Get your name on the list, slowly buy all the bits and before you know it you will be flying a lovely TDR.

Actually the kit is 825 euro..

with the latest exchange rate thats about $1070 dollars, not $1300. however shipping is not cheap...

good for us the euro dropped to the dollar... too bad its not where it used to be though! back in '02 it was around even exchange rate... sigh......
