I thing I will recenter my trims and do the mechanical adjustemt. Doing the mechanical adjustment on my heli (nexus 30)is just such a pain because there is a cylindar with 2 set screws that joins the pishrd from the servo to the pushrod from the rudder. The setscrews need locktite and strip easily. This means each time I loosen one, I need to add locktite to it and make sure I don't strip the screw (the hex head strips easioly). I don't have ball links to easily screw in or out for adjustment. Thanks for setting me straight guys.

I've never really looked at a Nexus tail system but that does sound problematic.

As for the cylinder, how much in/out adjustment does it have? Is it enough?

But yeah that sounds annoying the way you described it. Maybe annoying enough to at least try to trim methods that others here have.

Given that, if the trim setup works for you, go for it. If you encounter bad performance with it, then it might be worth mechanically adjusting that suboptimal linkage setup.

Good info on the 401 Gyro,i have had two on differant helis a trex 600 and a Raptor both were used with a 9254 servos,Mechanical set up was perfect no drift in any modes no binding all very smooth the helis flew straight as an arrow until i went inverted, been chasing this for over a year, replaced the gyro pads too,as i flip back into inverted the nose of the heli does a sharp 45 degree turn to the right until i put in rudder to centre it again, had several guys watch and could not come up with an answer,i have got one left it still does it,now using the 520 and its rock solid,so too this day i cant figure out why the 401 will do a sharp turn to the right when upside down maybe something to do with the Torqua of the engine when inverted

What you described sound kind of normal if you are comming out of the inversion and hitting the collective hard. Kind of like practicing an auto in throttle hold. If you bail out and engage the engine, the heli typically turns 45 degree plus. This is just theory though as I am not to the inverted ability yet.

Thanx im not hitting the Collective hard just do normal back flip add a little collective to stop it dropping to much and it does a sharp drift to the right.
