Well boys, tomorrow is the day. I have checked and rechecked the Total G and the whole machine. The only thing left to do now is spool it up and see what happens. I am only working till noon then coming home for final IRCHA prep. I will call my good buddy to come out and take some pics. I think it's gonna be awesome!

Success!!
I met with by good friend at a local park today.

We have lift off!! I am sorry for the pics but I forgot my zoom lens so here is what we have. I did the first hover sans canopy just to be on the safe side. It was a little intense on the first spool up but everything went very, very smooth. I got it light on the skids and slowly pulled power till she rose to a hover. It felt fairly locked in but there is certainly room to tighten up the Total G. I do not anticipate any problems. I am stoked to get out to the IRCHA site tomorrow and start getting her dialed in!!

Here are some canopy on pics.

Here is my new wall paper...

Good news, bad news. Good news is that I got my kit in today. Bad news is I had to leave today for a week of traveling. Now seeing the above pictures makes me wont to stay home and build the kit. At least part of my travel is IRCHA.

IRCHA was totally awesome! I did not get much done except have CY help me with the Total G and tuning/ tweaking the ENV. She is flying great and getting better that more a up the gain on the Total G. I'll write a little more tomorrow as it is late and I need shut eye. Here are some pics anyway.

The tail output shaft is 8mm I think. It necks down to 6mm where the hub bolts on. It's pretty stout and I really wouldn't imagine it to be any issue.

The one I beleive he is reffering to is a Rave 450 that a guy sent to me because it was bending tail shafts. I do not want to get into the specifics of that situation, but it was not determined to be the model per-say that was causing the tail shaft to bend. There were many other things at work with that situation. The Rave ENV does not have issues with the tail shaft bending, as it is quite stout, and hardened as well.

kinson88,

Contact me, I will see if I can help you figure out what is going on with your machine.

Brian

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

I found out something from the NUE motors website. If you order there motor(which they take forever to get), it says that the H version use M4 screws. So make sure you order the H version.

For those of us who already have the KDE, I understand that a new motor mount is in the works and should not be long off.
