No, that is what I use with a 2.4 7 channel receiver. What kind of gyro and battery setup are you using? What receiver and frequency?

Ok, the 401 has 2 connectors. The gain connector only has 1 wire in it. Use the the other 2 pins for the battery power (either remove the yellow gain wire and put it in the power connector, or remove the power terminals and put them in the gain connector). Then plug the governor control into channel 7. The other governor wire goes into channel 3.

The Align works well, but you need to "tach" it to really know for sure what the speed is.
Just wanted to clarify this. The easy way to set the headspeed on a Align gov or any other gov that doesn't diplay a headspeed is to assign it to a switch to turn it off and on. Set up the heli with a normal curve and hover it. Tune the engine and adjust the headspeed manually on the throttle curve. You don't really need to 'know' the headspeed, with proper gearing, hover pitch and about 60% throttle on a good tuned engine, the headspeed should be pretty much where it needs to be with just minor tweaks according to the pilots taste of other factors at work on the heli. Then once all set, turn the gov on and listen if the engine revs up or down and then adjust the rpm endpoint accordingly using your manual curve and known throttle position as the base point.

I have always liked the Aerospire MultiGov Pro. Super easy to set up and always reliable

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!
