+ 1 on the vids.

Raven, change PWM to 8KHz. Helps allround. Power, temps(cold anyway), pack usage some. The scorps are very happy at 8

Thanks torana74. If you say it helps all around and things don't get to hot, I'm going to switch it over to 8khz.

Cheers,
Raven

Gaui X5 demo flight video posted on YT. I can't post it here as it will get me pinked due to advertisement rule.

The X5 Rocks!!!
I finally got my X5 going this week. I tried to have it done for IRCHA but I simply had too much going on at the time. But neverthe less it's finished.

The build was really simply and I was surpised to find most of the sub-assemblies were put together with locktite. I was the stock motor, ESC, and blades with a Spektrum AR6200, H6040 Servos, a JR8900 on the tail and a CYE solid G gyro.

I the first flight was used to work out the bugs and trim the machine. But the second was a lot of fun as the machine felt good and flew very well right out of the box and without making any changes to the ESC.

It has incredible power to weight ratio and my only problem at this point is that I need more battery packs.

I am finishing up my Gaui 255 and if it is anything like the X5 I will be enjoying it for a long time to come.

Take care,

D.

Congrats.

We've won nothing in 4 years of attending. No wait, we did come home with two mini V-bar key chains.

New YT video with 95duro red damper is posted. It is zoomed it a but too much but it shows how crisp the tic-toc is with the new damper.

I have not flown this one but there seems to be a bit of discomfort from the looks of the flight. I'll have to fly it and find out what is causing that discomfort. It could be due to increased sensitivity at higher head speed or he just prefers a bit heavier paddles.

Benny,

With the new red/harder dampener the heli does make it even more faster in cyclic. Actually I think it made it even more agile in flight but that's just my two cents on it... Andy p/Pinoy.

Benny, a few that have flown mine have commented about how sensitive it is around centre . Have needed a little more expo than they normally use.

Also i have put the Edge flybar weights on and for alot seems to be nicer to fly. Red dampers, 100% flat.

Everyone's different and prefers different things but i hope that helps some. Please keep the updates coming

Flybar becomes progressvly more sensive with RPM increase. At 2600 it seems to be just fine but at 2800, I can see a bit of jerkiness or uneasy feeling in Justin's flight. If we are to keep flying around 2800, I would put on a different paddle or add weight myself.
