The new landing pad at Minor Park is pretty slick! Of what is it made?

Also, what kind of grease do you use on your main blade spindle and its bearings and where do you get it?

I use Tri-Flow synthetic grease on the spindle and for packing bearings. It doesn't damage the rubber head dampners. I have not tried white lithium grease on the head but the spray works great for sliding the torque tube into the boom on my trex.

I use silicone dielectric compound to lube my dampers. It will not soften any rubber and is not affected by cold or heat. You can get it at any parts store, it is also used to lube brake caliper slides.

G5 Tonight
G5 is starting after 7:00 pm tonight. I hope the park ranger will comply with our request to open the gate at minor park so we can fly tomorrow. I know some of the Thunderbirds are going to the park whether the gate is locked or not. Permission was granted by the ranger that we can fly even if the gate is locked. We will just have to walk the drive to the shelter area.

Snow Fly Today!
The gate was unlocked (thanks to the Rangers), so Thunderbirds members decided to have a "Snow Fly". Boy, what fun everybody had getting together. A sure cure for cabin fever... Jimmy is a natural flyer. Thank you Kurt, for the tarp we put on the shelter. Check out the Pics! G5 after 7:00 pm again. Also, there is a swap meet tomorrow....don't forget!
