There are groups that still think this is modern equipment.

I hope Mike G. was able to help you out with your 450. He's an expert to work with on 450's. I'm sorry I had to leave the field early because of family. Mike G is a really great inspiration to the club and it's members.

Those videos were both informative and depressing at the same time. I'm glad I live in this era.

Thank goodness for the Eagles and the fact that your not with wrong group or era. That same stuff was going on at our field just a year a go. It is sadand there was no reason for it to be that way. My how things have changed. What was really sad was the progress of the pilots. No one ever learned to fly. They were held back by antiquated junk pawned off on them by the very people that were supposedly there to help. People would come to the field to be conned, it was a racket. The people would get frustrated or embarrassed by their poor choice and quit. Think about it. Think about all the pilots in Kansas City and how many can actually fly. Now think how long people have been going to Minor Park and can fly. The people in Kansas City that can fly are either the old ones that were taught by Darwin or the new ones taught by the Eagles. The Eagles are building a strong group of really good pilots. Look how we have grown and the progress our pilots are making. Good equipment and information are the keys to success. Having a great club that shares information, helping in set-up and sending new members in the right direction with the right equipment are the keys to our existence and the future of R/C helicopters in Kansas City. The Eagles have vision and direction we have grown a strong group of excellent pilots.

Shock a Lincoln swink a Lincoln. I don't know what it means but I like the way it sounds.

Well the buddy box heli is almost built. I just need the 3GX, head, blades and some miscellaneous little things like the new DX7S'S. It was fun to build and I'm ant-sing to buddy box.

It's going to be fun!!!

A quick word...
Before I post any photos or videos or whatever, I wish to formally apologize to the Eagles who were within earshot of me today when I made hostile comments about iPhone owners.

Without going into a lot of details, just be aware that I have a hatred for Aqqle that goes back many many years, long before the iPhone ever came along. A deep, black, violent, poisonous hatred that, if converted into physical energy, would instantly liquify every living thing within 1000 miles.

Actually, I live with great deal of anger and bitterness about several things... the iPhone "craze" is just one of them that sets me off and it's amazingly difficult for me to hold my tongue even when I know I should. I'm not much different that anyone else, I guess... I mean, we all have things that we consider "touchy subjects". Honestly, to say that I'm "touchy" about the iPhone (or anything else Aqqle related)... well, that's putting it mildly, as some of you may have figured out.

Anyway, I'm not going to go into details about WHY I am the way I am about Aqqle and the iPhone, because, A.)it's personal, and B.)there's no way I could do it without hurting a lot of people's feelings AND getting banned from this forum at the same time.

From now on, I'll just try to do a better job of keeping my opinions to myself on the subject.

Thanks.

Today was a fantastic day with great weather at Minor Park Heli Field. A real "laid back" gathering!! Over 16 members and visitors showed up to watch the Eagles fly. It is great to have a club where everybody has a good time. It's a really good feeling....and I know you know what I mean. Our club is full of members that are smart, happy and good flyers to boot.

No Mr. Nasty's in our Eagles club....that's a guarantee. Thanks to Craig for buddy boxing with the club members and thanks to all the members for their positive and honest attitudes, flying skills and sincere friendship.

I took pictures from today....ENJOY!

WHAT!!!! Splinterheart do'sent like the IPhone!

What...Splinterheart do'sent like the IPhone?

He's kidding right? I'm so confused. What did the poor IPhone ever do to Splinterheart? I just don't know what were all going to think about this. I'm worried. I thought we were all suppose to play nice. Now he's broke the mold and stomped on our poor little Apple product. I thought we were are to check our personal emotions and become a perfect little Stepford house wife ideal no thinking non-emotional little good natured Eagle's. I'm so shocked. Can't we all just rewind the clock and pretend this never happened? Maybe Splenterheart could hold my little IPhone so he can see that it's just a friendly little device. I'd let him carry it for a day. They might become friends. The alternative is to send Splinterheart back to the Eagle factory to get an emotional checkup. It's a simple little procedure where they use electricity to stimulate the brane into a non-thing non-emotional state of pure bliss. The only side effects are the bulged eyes, drooling and the fact that you **** your pants on a daily basses. We need all need to be perfect, what fun is it to hang around people that don't have the exact feelings and emotions. Where we are never challenged and always at ease. HAPPY. Peace loving little good natured non-score keeping individuals.

Can't we all just get along.

Another great day at Minor Park. Craig buddy boxed with David and everybody really had a good time. A big thank you to Craig for all your help! Congrats to Jimmy on his 700. Way to go. We had 13 members and 4 guests today. It's like a mini fun fly every weekend. Check out the pictures that were taken today!

Enjoy!

Kyle's the man. Puts one in hard in the rocks gets it back together and flys it the rest of the day.

Impressive!!!

Sean also gets congrats for getting his fear in check and flying hard.

Then there's Jimmy who can't find the hole and me who had trouble with tail.

Nice to see some of our other players stepping up and getting it done.

Good job Eagles.

3D vs Scale
Today was a slow and boring day. It reminds me of a scale event I went to not long ago. Boring, Boring, Boring.

I really enjoyed the 3D flying we did on Sunday. It's more exciting.

Just from my past experience, being at IRCHA, there were close to 30 Scale pilots vs 920 3D pilots. I think the count speaks for itself. I'll continue on with the 3D in motion, thank you. If you want to be in a laid back mode, Scale is where you need to go. If you want movement and exciting change, I'd say that 3D is the way to move.
