And I had and awesome some time today at the OHB representing the scale helis today with Peter whales and darrel sparyberry.i had a chance to talk to both of them about scale events and got alot of knowledge about how to compete for 2016. So I'm super stoked.

Here the link. http://r.ebay.com/Lzf3Ip
And as for watts I'm running a align mx700 510kv motor which is 4000watts which =to 5.3HP. It burst of 5sec is6600 watts @8.4HP. And 5HP is more then enough to fly the rappy.

I meant the ones like you got for $100 each..the 4 blade, but I'm guessing those are gone.

Sheesh, that's a big motor in your heli! No wonder it doesn't get hot. Like a big block stuffed into a Vega. Have you amped the motor under load? I was wondering what kind of watts it took to make it fly like it does.

Sorry those I bought that century was selling off the last of those heads and when I saw the price I couldn't let those past up, cause I knew those head go for 275.-300ea so I didn't need them at first but for that price I had to buy it. And now I have two builds that those heads are going on. Plus I went with the 700mx cause it was laying around doing nothing so I used it, and yes I so it in flight at 68amp draw @ 2700watts pull. I'm using 120amp esc and it way over kill.

Nothing wrong with that...I've done the same thing to a lot of my airplanes. Has me thinking more about my motor selection. Does it have to be a motor for helicopters? I'm not all that familiar with heli motors compared to airplane motors. Do you keep the fan and the air ducting in the conversion? Thinking something in the 50mm diameter size.

Hope I'm not asking to many questions that have been answered already. At least this thread has been revived if nothing else.

No problem I'm glad to help. And no when I did the clutch fit I cut off the fan from the clutch mount because it fan unit sat to High an couldnt mount the motor, to the motor mount, but having the fan still would add more loading on the motor which would have u flying at higher amp draw then without a fan and plus my motor never gets even warn with my gearing and esc affiancy

I think I found a newer and cheaper way to do scale heli. Century scle mechanics. Been outa helis so long, I had no idea kits like that existed. Nice thing is that you can still use a clutch...pretty cool. I'm gonna keep the Rap titan and the 70. Guess I'll put the rest of them up for sale and fund the new project.
