Well got my Logo600 going. First day in a while to get my trim flight done and I could not get it for the life of me. While I know Mr Mel has put together videos on the trim and other websites show this as well It doesnt work for me. So here is what I did.

-Turn on the TX and RX plug into computer check trim box. Disconnect cable and shut off TX and RX.

-Turn on Transmitter full collective. Plug in jazz and turn on RX since seperate power for servos.

There is where I get to. I do not see the double collective pump I have seen on the videos as others have done. I tried increasing the sub trim thinking that the vbar didnt see full collective and I tried messing with the trim on my radio thinking the same. nothing I do gets the double pump. Its something small I am missing I am sure.

Any ideas anyone?

Another point it mentions not bringing down the collective down all of the way or it will shut off the tune function on vbar. I don't remember this causing a problem when I ran 3.6 vbar on another bird. Not sure on this...

Might sound strange but....
Try this: Put the stick at full negative and LMK if it goes into trim flight mode.

If you can piro the heli on the spot and it sits flat then you don't need to do a trim flight

V3.6 did not have a auto trim function - we never performed trim flights and never had to keep the collective above 0

The double pump is nothing to do with the auto trim
If you don't see the double pump don't fly
If you are running the VBar of a bec/reg it may take a while to see the double pump - as long as ~20 seconds

That means it is in the trim flight mode.

well
I guess when I set up the heli it seemed like there was not enough gyro gain and drifted bad to the left. I did mechanical correction and now it seems much better. Still its not as good as the machine before. I can tell when the vbar is really locked because it drifts very very slow. Right now it acts more like it doest have vbared installed like a flybared heli. Its been to windy and the batteries are new so its not been upstairs yet so this is only hovering in the back yard. Hence the waiting for trim flight.

I was pretty sure the double pump was the communication for the vbar is in trim flight mode and that bringing the collective down to zero stopped it. However to my understanding bringing the collective down all of the way arms the Jive 80. Seems counter productive.

I honestly wouldn't bother with a trim flight. Just make sure the balance is perfect and set the swash plate up with a leveler and the heli will fly perfectly. I'm really not sure why the trim flight option is even there as it seems like the only thing it's good as is hiding a bad CG or a bad swash setup (but then you'll have problems at full positive/negative).

FWIW, double pump is the indication that you're in trim flight mode. Single pump is indication that you're in normal flight mode.

3.16 had what was called "classic trim" user orientated to see which way what leaned etc, then you tuned trim manual in software to achieve a no hold hover, basically what AT is now, just the pilot had to enter the values to overcome cg, and rotation forces is all.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Does that "classic trim" option still exist somewhere in the V4.0 software?
