Love it!
Just got one a few months ago. I have an R30,50, and 50 Titan w/ SE head and love them all. However, that being said I love this 90! Flys like it's on rails. Very stable with lots of power. The only change I have from stock is adding the Elevated RC metal tail w/ metal Kasama grips. The only thing that one might consider negative would be they are thirsty birds. But that's just part of being a 90. :-) All in all it's everything you love about a raptor......only BIGGER! I'm sure flyinghigh450 will jump on the bandwagon here as well for the 90 3D fanclub. He's got some nice vids posted of his R90 3D flying. You won't regret it.......but your 30 and 50 birds might not lke it. :-)

It’s an excellent helicopter and does not need any upgrades. To get best performance you need good servos (BLS451) and a good gyro (I like Spartan with BLS251 rudder servo).

If you something a lot better make the R90 flybarless. It really does fly batter but it’s more expensive. I have the latest technology SK-720 on order for my R90.

R90-3D
I have one and I think it flies great. The build is straight forward and fairly easy. It will do all the 3D you want it to do. Go ahead and get. Set it up properly and you won't be disappointed. The only upgrade I would urge you to get is the Quick UK one-way bearing. The TT version tends to bind up. I replaced the main blade grips with the aluminum Elevated RC blade grips. That was totally unecessary...just bling.

I hope you like yours.
Rob.

I have 2 Rap 90 3D's both with Kasama heads on them and full carbon frames from Elevated RC. They fly like a dream and are as good as anything else out there. I would also second the recommendation for the QUK 1 way bearing, especially if you like doing autos. My next project is to turn one of them into FBL. Should be fun. Good luck with your decision :-)

Is there a US distributor to get the quick UK bearing from or do you have to order it direct from them? Thanks

Here's another one.

Not a single upgrade, all is stock(except the carbon like windshield, we all know that raptors cannot "3D" without the carbon look ).

Align ds610 servos on cyclic and collective
SolidG + bls251 on the tail
Radix 710 sb's, stock paddles, k&b dreams tail blades

Os hz ps with a muscle pipe 5 (I would have bought a non-pumped OS tho)
and a good old 3001 servo at throttle with atg v3

This bird only gives me confidence when flying, its the only bird I own that I know will not break down at sky when loading it.

Luv it!
