can i put the magnets in the main gear? or in the flywheel .the main gear has holes for it . will it work in the fly wheel ? one mag or two? its a lot easyer to mount now i an 1/2 way through the biuld

If you can wait just a little Statorgator will have a system to just plug in, and use the ignition signal...

Maybe Chris will jump in here...I tried it, and it worked like a charm...

I have never tried using the main gear..maybe some who has used the GV-1 in this mode can help..

sparx used a spectrum pickup and a throttle jockey rev lim .is it better then gvi ?i got a newer fan with fins on both sides so theres no place to put the magnets so im looking at something new to get any ideas?

but the gv1 sensor will not work with thoughs mags and the gv1 mags are bigger then the fins so im thinking throttle jockey

You should not have to run the G1 magnets.. Have you hooked up any of this to make sure? The ignition will work on the stock magnets. I don't see why the Gv1 would not work...

The SG will also work, even with the two magnets installed... You have many choices....

Remember, the SG for the Radikal is not out yet, should be another week..all other SG's will not work with the Zenoah 20..

Itried puting the sensor over the magnets in sensor setup and got 20 -30%flickering then the gv1 mag got 97% .i gess ill wait fir the gator and gust build it i dont want to drill hole that im not going to use . ive been wait to not have to take it apart after i lock tite evry thing lol

Toosmall, There is a new SG that will work with the ei20 and gv1.It plugs in between the pickup and the ignition.

I have it on good authority there will be a limited number of the new EI stator gators available sometime next week!

One other option
One other option is this cdi from HK. It comes with a third "rpm" lead which works the GV-1 very nicely. It can also handle a 6v battery (I am running a A123 6.6) and is about 2 ounces lighter than stock cdi. Like I said, just another option.

I ordered one of the cdi's from the link you posted. It took about 4 weeks for it to come in and when it did it was just like the one in the picture. The spark plug cap is to big it did not have an rpm lead and the lead that goes to the pick up does not have the correct connector.So it is a 50/50 shot of getting the wright ignition and if you get the wright one you have to modify it when it comes in.I ordered a new SG and it should be in at the end of the week. It will have the wright connectors on it to plug in to the pick up and its made in the USA.
