No new bling haha but I do want a cnc tail case one day.I did get a awesome deal on a Hatori SB18 and OS 91SZ that has 1 gallon through it,paid $70.00 for the pipe and $125.00 for the motor.I bought the motor to replace the OS 91SX-H C-Spec with Cline carb but once I put the Hatori pipe on it (had a TT 90 pipe) and retuned the motor I can't bog it .The pipe opened this motor up so the OS 91SZ might not get used for a while .I have a extra OS 91SX-H C-Spec I rebuilt as a backup incase I pop the one in the heli now (new at tuning 3 needle carbs) but im 95% sure I have it running perfect.People say the OS 91SZ will make more power than the C-Spec so when the time comes i'll pull the Cline carb/Viperhead off and put it on the 91SZ.Thanks for the comment and sorry for babbling but I love this heli .Heres a few pics and I can't wait to get some in-flight shots with the new camcorder ..

Nice pics
Nice pics. I need to take some new ones of mine nw that I have the new tail and all Radix Blades and paddles. I put a beater camera in my 30 and got sol coll video a while back. Cheapo digi camera and quality wasn't that great but pretty neat footage.

Sold off one of my 50's to buy a R90 SE airframe that I am going to do a gasser conversion on. I'm sure it won't have the pop of the 3D but hopefully be able to fly the piss out of it with very little fuel cost. :-) We'll see. Will start a build thread when enough parts show up to start working on the airframe conversion. Happy flying!

That was sweet and I watched your other videos too, looks like your loving the 90SE .Im thinking about putting my other camcorder on the Rappy but its a mini DVD camcorder which might skip on me.I seen a gasser conversion on ebay for $100.00,seems like a good deal but not sure about the quality .I'll keep an eye out for the thread, kinda interested in how it gos and how you'll like it .

I am a self taught tuner from reading on RR and videos. I bought a used YS 90st with mp2 pipe and it is running great for me so far. I think you'll really enjoy it if you get it running the way you'd like. Have fun!

statton1,
This is my first 90 too.I picked up a good used OS 91 SX-H C-Spec with cline carb for $70.00 bucks and I put a used $70.00 dollar Hatori SB18 pipe on it,this motor/pipe flat out rocks.Im running a low headspeed and you can see from the videos it doesn't bog at all .All I did was put a new rear bearing and ring in it so I knew it in good shape. When I bought the pipe,I bought a like new OS 91SZ for $125.00.People say it (91SZ) makes more power than the C-Spec but theres no reason to change motors because the C-Spec pulls like a monster.Since this is your first 90 you should keep an eye out in the for sale section for a good used motor.Learning to tune a 3 needle carb is nothing like tuning a Hyper 50 but its not hard.It took me a while learning to tune this motor but I think its running perfect.I'll feel better now if I bought a brand new 90 size motor because I know I won't burn it up learning it if ya know what I mean...Like dcbusdriver said, the YS 91ST with the MP2 or Hatori SB19 (I think thats the right Hatori pipe for that motor) is a awesome combo too.Lots of good feedback on that motor.Try to find a good used motor/pipe to start off with ..

Idle 1 is 1850 with +/- 11 and idle 2 is 1950 and +/- 12. Was just a wag for starting points based on stuff I read but not not because of any great knowledge on my part. Being used to 2100 on my R50 titan they seem Kinda low. :-)

Yeah thats what I ran on my 50's at too,2100rpm's.My C-Spec makes 3.1hp @ 15000 rpm's so I gotta divide that by the gear ratio which is 8.27.
15000 divided by 8.27 gives me a 1813 rpm head speed.Max RPM on my motor is 16000 so thats why I set idle 2 to 1875.1875 puts me a little under max rpm on the motor but I need to keep a 90% load on the head but I don't think im ready for that yet haha..
