Not getting much response in the Align forum, so I thought I'd try here:
I noticed something today on my 600M motor in my 600ESP.
The motor is bolted tightly in place. When I grasp the motor can, I can move it up and down 2 or 3mm.
The motor has about 15 4-6 minute flights on it.
The movement is present both when the motor is warm (after flight) or cold.
I am a sport flyer, so far, so I don't push the motor hard at all.
Is this normal?
My 500ESP stock motor does not move at all.

Hello Gordart, does the motor bolt together I.E.top and bottom? or un-screw?

That is definately not normal. I would not run it until it is repaired or replaced. If the motor shorts out it could burn out your esc or start a fire. It happened to me years ago with an Ion.

OK. I removed the motor and checked the endplay. I got .009" (.2mm).
From other posts I've, this is normal clearance. Guess I worried needlessly. For some reason, when the motor was in the heli it seemed like more movement to the naked eye. I have flown through 3 packs so far with no problems.
