Hey guys,

i got back in the hobby after a year break and have been seeing all these new technologies out... really interested in the 3G system but have a few questions. Does it require a gyro? and is it easy to setup? Any advise would help. Thanks.

The 3G FBL unit IS a gyro. It controls all 3 axis'.

Setup is a breeze...

Read through the FBL forums and you find all the tips, and tricks for setting it up

Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..

There are lots of flybarless systems on the market any many are better then the 3G. You should due some reading on this forum before you decide. I like the new SK-720 myself.

so the sk-720 is better than the align 3g? and i would not need a special tail gyro anymore is that correct?

also this might sound dumb but how do u set the pitch and the cyclics without a flybar? wat would you reference it to?

thanks for all your help!

The 3G comes with a "head button" that you can slide your old flybar through to set pitch. After it is set you can take it off and put the normal head button on.

Also Rick Lohr sells some FBL clip on setup jigs that look pretty good....

Paul

PS: You don't need a separate tail gyro with either the 3G or 720...

I have a 3g on my 600 and love it . The units being shipped now are mostly the updated so any tail bugs are taken care of. So long as the heli is well built and has no vibrations you will love having all the gyros

Who cares... its just money...
