I have been searching here on runryder for new helis. I have a Vigor CS 90 and I think it is a great heli. I was just wondering why they dont hold there value much. That goes for Vibe 90 as well. I see alot of them for sale for very cheap compared to the trex's synergy raptors etc

Prices for spare parts! Checkout main frame, main gear, counter gear etc etc.

This is a major deterrent to buyers hence low second hand value.

I agree they are a really nice machine to fly and are well made. Just dont crash one!

The main reason is that they are discontuned (although parts are still available). When that happens people dump then for the latest bird. That an the economy is horrible, if you want to sell something you have to cut the price these days

Once the newer models came out in JR's lineup, the older heli (though still great machine) took a huge hit in value. Horizon typically stocks parts for a long time even if the heli is no longer in production. If you are in the market for another bird, I wouldn't be worried to pick up another Vibe or Vigor.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

I'm very sad to say literally as of last week I stripped a bevel gear and it was going to cost $50, not ten. And it's because as everyone has said it's almost 3 years old. So, I'll be buy a rave 90 flybarred and nitro for what ? $900?? And the the SG is over $2000? I have seen one SG Vibe. And although I don't fly Align, they are extremely good from having seen so many fly the the whole range and are the same also under a $1000.

As for the Sylphide, JR Japan have no plans at all discontinuing this model as it with its over-size head, it's still winning F3C. Go to to the jrpropo.co.jp for a look.

Jr helicopters
are great machines in my own opinion,i have a belt drive Airskipper 90 and Vibe 90 both which i converted to gassers. Both fly superbly and are very nice quality but parts are expensive as others have said but as new airframes are a good buy if you look out for as new examples to keep the spares costs down,i bought three airframes for £900 dont think you can buy one new vibe here for that, some even had expensive parts already fitted.
