Putting together a new Trex 600 flybarless heli for a friend. Which head shims should I put in the engine? Gonna be using Cool Power 30% heli fuel. Manual says for over 15% use head shims but which ones. Hard Three D is the meal of choice.
thanks in advance!

The one that comes in it works fine...........as long as the carb will play.

I played the shim/fuel/carb/pipe game for some time and pretty much figured out one sure thing. My Redline did not like the MP-5 pipe but the Hatori SAB50 tuned for the redline has pretty much fixed every issue I had. I tried running with just the factory gasket and it gets much more touchy to temperature increases per click of the main needle as opposed to just adding the .004 on top of the main head gasket. I like the .004 shim in place with an Enya #3 or OS #7, Hatori pipe, throttle jockey gov. and 30% cool power.

The only people who truly know where the edge lies, are those who have gone over.
