I recently set up my 2010 FBL Srimok.

If I follow the exact manual measurements for rods (on the head)
and use also the lower of the holes on the center head hub,in order to
secure my FBL head.
I also have the pitch, aileron, elevator lever arms parallel to the ground and swashplate.
And the mentioned 33mm distance from the top of main shaft and top of washout driver.

All I can read in the pitchgauge at this neutral after the above procedure is -6 degrees.

Should I deal with the turnbuckles above the swashplate?

Every piece of info is welcome because I want to see this bird flying.

Thank you Bill

P.S:Happy day off on 1st of May

I remember having the same issue so basically throw out the recommended measurements and instead concentrate on 90 degrees, and zero pitch with enough room above and below for the pitch you want.

Agree with nyc863 but also note that there is some vertical adjustment (capability) in the bearing blocks which determines the position of the main shaft.

I agree - measurements as per manual are always just a guide.

The great thing about this head is
that the links are turnbuckles and
are infinity adjustable. So you can get
things right on the "money"
gonk

Another thing is that the links are very sensitive, it does not take many turns to change the pitch alot. I expect in the end your 3 servo to swash links will be almost as short as possible and very close to the manual. adjust the other links to get your pitch zeroed at 50% stick. Actually, this thread is pretty old, what did you settle on in the end?

Thank you Tony
Yesterday was my first flight...Everything was super.
Just a matter to solve with Aerospire because it goes on and off
at 32% of throttle curve and the tail bounces right left at
around the hover zone.
I will solve it
And it was filmed the flight in HD.
I will post it

I've got the same Srimok as billano the cyberhead Srimok, and just recently started my build, for the 3 Axis gyro I will use the Align FL-760 already ordered the programable software.since this is my first flybarless build with bell cranks instead of the direct swash to bladegrip linkage rod.I wonder if it will fly any different than my FBL TREX 700 or my FBL TREX 500?
which I do feel a certain more direct feel with my 500 than with my 700.

The main difference from direct drive of the blade holder is that you can get more precision in servo resolution and as a result smaller movement in servo steps than direct drive because the bell crank reacts
like a tappet(small yoke)

you know the only thing I dislike about the Srimok is unpainted canopy, and some cosmetic issues with the kit notthing big just some minor stuff and the need to drill hole's on my boom.
should have been done at factory for what I paid for the kit.
I think it's the most expensive kit on the market today.
really nice but dang it!

Mine came with painted canopy ...?Why yours its with unpainted?
What model did you order?
Mine its 2010 from Esprit Model.

P.S: you only have to do 2 drills but its very simple.(because you do not have to do any modifications.you will love the Srimok's detail)

what I'm trying to say is that I think it should have this stuff done at the factory.
ESPIRIT MODEL and HELIDIRECT did offer a painted canopy version, but compareing the price you where basicly paying for the canopy.
