Building on the success of last year, VARCHA is once again hosting the best instructional clinic on the East Coast. This year we feature an expanded lineup of 4 days of instruction in two distinct sessions.

This year’s clinic features four unbelievable instructors from both FAI and 3D disciplines, including:

Scott Gray - Three-time F3C silver medalist and 2006 XFC Champion

With each of these sessions your lesson plan will be customized to your individual goals and skill level.

But this weekend isn’t just for advanced pilots, even if you’re just staring out, we have a track for you. Our instructors will be on-hand to work with beginning or novice pilots as well. Teaching everything you need to know, from ground school basics to hands-on buddy box flying.

WOW....

This event is unbelievable. If you are in the area, you might want to contact Joec, and see if can get in for the weekend. If not, you better reserve your spot for the next one, NOW.

Marcus is putting everyone on the buddy box who wants it. What ever you want to try, not a problem, without fear, as his reflexes are too fast to crash.

Bill Jackson is building and setting up more helicopters than is humanly possible in a day. And of course he always has a trainer cord in hand, actually I think I saw him use it as a neck strap today.

Bill Tinsley , Mr Quiet...but don't be fooled. A wealth of knowledge and always available for guidance, or a question and will give the right answer, the theory and experience why. And remember, keep you eye on the quiet one, you have been warned.

Scott Gray is the GURU, Mr. Ambassador, end of sentence. But, I can't stop there.... Engine tuning, everyone's motors are creating more power and running better than a Swiss clock. Radio setup, Buddy Box, Setup, the list goes on and on. Team Nitro is alive, and well.

Where's that other gallon of fuel.

Well its finally over... And I know EVERYONE is exhausted. After four days of instruction, demos, buddy boxing, etc, I can honestly say that everyone, inlcuing student and instructors got a good fill of heli flying.

I personally want to thank Scott Gray, Bill Tinsley, Marcus Kim and Bill Jackson, for all of their excellent tutelage this weekend. Each and everyone one of them tirelessly worked their butts off. Never did a heli go untouched, nor an engine untuned, while these guys were around.

Scott Gray- Yep, what more can I say Scott Gray is truly the master, and ultimate ambassador for this hobby. Scott is the first person to take out a wrench, and work on someones heli... not once did I see Scott say to someone "Hey fix that" he just took out his tools and fixed it, or programmed it.

Marcus Kim - Team AVANT should be proud to have Deputy Kim on their squad!! I watched Marcus fly probably 15 flights each day on the buddy box with the students. And I know for a fact that without Marcus backing up the pilots, people would be rebuilding helis this week... So hats off to Marcus Kim for not only being a great pilot, but a great instructor as well.

Bill Tinsley - Yes the quiet man from Canada with the funny Spanish accent!! But boy does this guy know his stuff. Equally as versed as Scott he is so comfortable talking setups, or coaching FAI maneuvers!! And Bill's a great pilot as well.. guess you have to be to fly at the WC. But Bill is the consummate professional... always ready to buddy box or take out a wrench.

Bill Jackson - A field rep for Assurance RC, Bill epitomizes what a field rep should be. Many other field reps out there are just happy to get free or discounted stuff, but fall short when it comes to helping someone... not Bill Jackson. Bill is always ready, willing and capable to help anyone in need... whether thats buddy boxing someone new to forward flight, or replacing a worn out thrust bearing... Bill is always a great help.

So for those of you that missed it... mark your calendars for next May and be sure to catch the VARCHA 3D/FAI/Beginner clinic, its the absolute best way to take your flying to the next level!!
