Motor and pipe. If you are using the mod 1 main gear you will need to change the pinion, the -1 main gear you do not.

The QuickUK clutch is designed to use with wore clutch shoe . You will need to sand the clutch liner down for clearance or get ready to hang on also will make it hard to set up idle because it grabs to soon. Yes i try it...

Throttle servo and receiver. I'm guessing you already have a transmitter.

You didn't really need the clutch and link upgrades, possibly a Raptor 90 liner instead. If you want a link upgrade, there's no better time than before you build! I am sure others will chime in on the need for new links.... I bought the Lynx clutch and has utterly disappointed.

I've been on the original main gear since my #8's first flight 2 years ago, but probably don't fly hard enough to break it. When it's time to replace I will get the mod 1.0 though. I use a fuel magnet, but QUK header tank on my Knight 3D, and is what I would have chosen for a header tank on a 700N as well.

Thanks for the replies fellas! I'm so excited to join the world of 90 sized birds! I think I'm at the limits of my little Raptor 30.

I might (tell me what you think) build it with the stock gears, and just replace them with the Mod 1 kit if/when the stock strips? Or should I just do the mod kit from the word go?

I have run both the stock and Mirco heli Mod 1 .. I'm running the stock gear -1 now on my stock YS91sr it nice quiet. Now I used the Mod 1 gears when i run my Ported YS91SR 4hp.. I havn't try the stock gears on the ported motor as I was told be ready to auto as it will strip stock gears.. I see no reason to run Mod 1 gears on any stock motor as it's just louder and if the gears don't strip in crash something elso will give but thatwhat Thro holds for..

I say run stock -1 gears.. Mod 1 was designed for Electics putting out 4- 8hp ...

Worthy upgrades:
QuickUK Ball links set
Align metal Engine mount
OMI Fuel Magnet
Helidirect Frame screw set 5 packs (pick color)
Curtis Youngblood 4105 Paddles
Any good aftermarket main bearing blocks with Thurst bearings. you will replace align bearing everytime blades touch ground...
Don't buy battery till heli is build ,so you can find the right weight battery for CG. when you know the weight find 1 with most Mah.

Metal engine mount?

Do you mean the clutch bell upgrade?

Motor mounts are most definitely metal.

Personally, owning and flying two of these things, I would upgrade the clutch bell and leave everything else until at such time you think you need it.

the 690s are light and nimble, but they don't auto too well.

enjoy...it is a very nice flying heli.
