FOR SALE!! 1996 NISSAN SKYLINE. JUST NEEDS A PAINT JOB......LOL.

Ok. Going down the back road. Car stops to turn into a pull off. Just after a partial blind corner. Everyone knows this is a spot to slow down and turn....sometimes stop. 1st car realizes that she needs to turn so she slows down...fast. Truck behind her (in front of me) stops fast to keep from hitting her. I stop fast to keep from hitting the truck. Little comes flying around the corner and slams into me. I slam into the truck. The Golf and truck sustain very little damage. My car....well.....you can see the pics.

Oh, and the guy that hit me.....he works for VW. He was driving a customers car trying to figure out whats wrong with it. As he was coming around the corner he looks down to see whats wrong with it and that's when he runs into me.........

Cops give him 100% liability though. Now I just have to hope insurance covers the car....

I might not be able to fly well, but I can crash with the best of them.

If that is you in the first picture, how in the heck can you be smiling. That was a sweet skyline, hopefully it will be just as nice again.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

Damn brother sorry to see the pics of that sweet ride..

I got family that lives in Germany I visit there quite often. All I can say is that I wish the people here in the states drove half as good as the drivers in Germany.

That me in the first pic. I figure I could cry or laugh.....so I chose to get my picture taken with what was left of it.....LOL.

I figure its not all bad, no one was hurt. Thats good isnt it?

And sorry to say but I'm gonna write it off. Not enough time left here to try to fix it up.

I might not be able to fly well, but I can crash with the best of them.

I have seen a lot of people who have remove the safety bumper to install intercooler and make the car totally unsafe and easy to get major damage.

He also needed some brakes as well, another thing a lot of modder fail to do, beef up the HP but fails to beef up brakes.

My friend own a mod shop in CA and we have seen all kind of stupid things like that, There was CRX which is unsafe in first place, got turbo charged upgraded engine with intercooler. To order to fit them they have chop up some part of the frame and remove the bumper completely.

trekrider586....Dont know why the pic looks like that. All the brakes were good on the car. I admit the pic makes them look striped but they weren't. Besides, I was at a complete stop when I was hit, brakes had nothing to do with it.....

zaw.....Yes people do stupid things to their cars. But mine still has all the safety equipment like its supposed to. As for the HP being more than the brakes can handle.....they worked just fine. They had been upgraded when the HP went up.

All the rest.....It was a nice car. And fun too. The funny thing is that I never drove it like it was built to be driven. I run it up to 245 KPH (156 MPH) one time. That is the only time I even came close to pushing the car, and that wasn't even pushing it.

Oh well, guess I get to buy a new car now.....

I might not be able to fly well, but I can crash with the best of them.

Man Skylines have been my favorite cars since I knew what a car really was! I would still drive that car around with pride even after fixing it with tape, zipties, and a hammer..

Sorry for your loss

EDIT: I saw a Skyline just like this one (except in one piece) at FT Bragg NC last year...I would imagine there arent to many since it was the only one ive ever seen in person...Maybe by some coincidence it was yours?

Can't believe the corrosion
Man I am spoiled in Arizona, I can't believe the corrosion "rust" on that car. If you tried to sell that here you would get low balled to death. I thought Germany didn't use salt. The Diff cover and all the hidden spots that were opened up when the car was "bent" show it full of cancer. Nice ride though... sorry for the loss, there will always be another.

Ahem Fox bodies were made from 78 to 93.

I consider them oldschool. I owned 2, 91GT(302 built to the hill), 85GT(351), and now Im saving to buy my buddies 93LX Notchback Vortech Supercharged. Still my favorite.

Nice car and good attitude, its only a car. You are safe and alive. You will have many more cars to come.
