okay so it isnt a newer version but my number two model. this one is replacing my original approach kit since i dont really want to risk it by flying it. it was given to me by approach founder James Linder, a dear friend who many know was killed in an apache crash.
this one will be done as a longbow but with the flybarred head and since i cannot bear a longbow without the FCR on top, i have come up with a viable solution by mounting atop the rotorhead an fcr that will rotate with the rotor system. since the fullsize fcr is perfectly round, it will be close realism. i have a video of it in flight and will upload later.
thank you RcKfish for the fuse. putting it to great use

+1 on Rckfish's comment. Love the way you walk around it while turning the tail a different way.

Would love to see it in person.

Roy, they are actually the same nitro version but i think i prefer it as an electric as the nitro had issues hiding a good muffler and getting to the fuel and needle were a pain.
RcKfish yea its gonna be nice when finished.
Jeff, when i saw Rober Gorham do that with his gmp king cobra back in the 80's while inverted, it impressed me so much it became my favorite part of hovering aerobatics
thanks for posting the vid for me Wayne

Emile, Everyone at the field tells me I'm crazy for standing and hovering my predator and other heli's so close to me.

Jeff

When I move back to Florida. I'll have to come over and fly with you...

Jeff, they are right, it is crazy to hover so closely and i usually try not to be so close. it is only the fact that i had a fixed camera and wanted to stay in the shot why the proximity seems close and being in a small area doesnt help.
come on over and fly, we'd love to have ya!

emile,

really steady hover, you must have that FCR balanced perfectly i don't think i saw any vibrations at all.

i am getting ready to mount my mechanics (hawk 50 electric) do you use any bracing on the top of your mechs? or is it just mounted on the plywood base?
