I have been using my Common Sense lipo pro balancer for several years now on different cells but lately I have noticed that it is getting around 140 degrees when charging my 6s packs. It never got that hot before. Im wondering if anyone else uses this balancer and how hot it gets. Im hoping its not time to buy another balancer because this one was around $40 bucks with digital volt readout.

Not for sure that is the balancer. Is it possible that your packs are getting old. Do you have any flying buddies that may have a charger that give you the unbalanced voltage or a good quality volt meter to measure? I know from personal experience that I have some packs that on occasion are so unblanced after flying that I have to leave on the balncer for about 15minutes before my charger will charger them due to the unbalnce being around 0.25volt, that is really bad and my balancer does get warm enoguh that I can't hold longer than 5 seconds. What's funny, thank goodness the pack only gets that unbalance on some rare occasion. It is getting old and tired, I guess.
