It wasn't that hard using templates.

The videos that Acehelis did were very helpful.

Just the part on cutting the corners on strips was enough. Another thing I got out of it was that you didn't have to use expensive paints to do a decent canopy. Mine don't last long enough to get expensive with.

what videos from Aces?
I just got an airbrush and wanted to do some canopies, but I'm so far behind in knowledge I'm not sure I'll ever catch up lol. The vids would be awesome.

I also used this article from RCHeli Magazine for the skulls.

I went with a Masters Airbrush kit. It came with 3 different needle sizes. Since this was my first, I can't really compare it to anything. It worked for what I needed and is easy to clean. The one thing that I don't like is that the lid for the paint just sits down on the cup and can pop off if you don't watch your hand angle. Don't ask how I know.

For these, there was little airbrushing done and I didn't really have to worry about technique since I was using a template.

Thanks for the setup info - been looking at a testors setup but just don't think I'll be able to talk my wife into doing them for me despite the fact she draws / loves creative type projects like this.
