There are four bolts that go into the second gear. The 2 m3x8 and collets go into the main mast, what are the other two for? The m3x5s?

They hold the second gear on the hub so that it doesn't fall off when you have the whole assembly out for one reason or another.

Ahhh, I was not thinking of it from the out of the model context, so those bolts just sit in the auto-drive assembly, not thread in.
