Has anyone tried to remove the paddles from the flybar, and replace them with weights like on an UH-1 ?

Does it work?

i tried it on a shuttle
and it doesn't work the heli wouldn't lift off the ground
if i was to try to make a scale head i would set the head up as a flybar less head but with the bar with the weights on and locked in one position

use a thicker control rod than std from the swash to the blade grip and no working rods on the flybar/seesaw

I talked to a guy at a fun fly who had done that. He said the helicopter was so stable, that he could not move it out of a hover. He then had to change the mixing arms to get it to go into forward flight.
